I pre-ordered my Asus Transformer Prime back near the end of November from BestBuy in Canada, I believe it was the first day they offered the item on pre-order.
They originally posted that is was expected to be shipping between Dec 9th and 12th. They later sent me an email that is was delayed till about Dec. 22nd. And today they sent me an email announcing another delay receiving product from Asus:
“On your recent visit to BestBuy.ca you pre-ordered the Asus Transformer Prime Tablet (Web ID: xxx). We’ve recently been informed by Asus that there are unexpected delays in receiving the products and as a result, are unable to ship them on the date originally planned. We’re sorry to be the bearer of this news; however, we will contact you as soon as we hear about the updated release date from Asus.
Please accept our e-certificate gift of $25 to use towards a future purchase with Best Buy…”
No mention of the possible release date. I recently read on another blog that it’s rumoured that the issue is a problem with WiFi, but I’ve seen no confirmation of that from Asus myself.
